Its past 1am (means its officially monday already). I just got home about an hour plus ago from rehearsals. A tragic accident during practice today. A dancer hurt herself so badly she can't even walk and was driven to the hospital. I hope she gets well although it means she can't perform for ChildAid this year! :(
Rehearsals for my closing vocalists went pretty well today. Am so glad they did well today. It was a long day with quite abit of waiting around and alot of sitting around with Rohit and Wai huin outside the waiting area just jamming and singing along. I found that the vocals in our (hady and i) group is exceptionally nice to work with. they listen to instructions once and they all just go along with information that is being passed to them no matter how many time it changes. :X
I will definitely miss them once ChildAid is officially over on the 18th. This year its only one show set aside for public sales. Alot of people were disappointed but as it is held in a different part of Resorts World Sentosa this year, I think there is a seating shortage. Hang in there for next year alright folks! The talent just keeps getting better I promise! :)
It was amazing to finally hear 8 years old Nikolai play the flute. He was one small boy accompanied by the orchestra. awesome playing. His younger brother is so cute! running around amok during the rehearsal. hahhaa. Nikolai is pretty good looking for an 8 year old (i'll post pics up i promise!) so i'm sure he'll charm many young girls in fut as he grows up. Btw, he's like an mixed between russian and chinese so u can imagine how charming it is! hahaha. :)
there isnt any rehearsals tomorrow so finally there'll be a breather. There's prerecording for some of the vocals tomorrow at Pavane but Hady's gonna be there instead! I'm just too bummed out after returning from Melb and dragged to rehearsals straight after. Hopefully I'll get to post some pictures of the rehearsals up here by tuesday which would most prob be the full run! :DD
As tomorrow's like my off day, managed to squeeze in a meeting with Ivan woo! :D He's gonna be treating me to some awesome possum pastries at Canele in town. Can't wait man! :D Kiwi toh also called me like a few hours back to watch Harry Potter tomorrow with him and Chongwen. :) I MIGHT have to take a raincheck on the movie as i might be too bummed out. There are still rehearsals on tues afterall!
Well, I think I better head on to snooze soon. It's gonna be another long day..
