Don't you always have some fun activity you wished you could do with your family but could never find the time?
I'm just like that too.
Growing up as the eldest daughter and granddaughter in both paternal and maternal family,
I'm always being labelled as "should be more responsible"
But HEY! When did i ever get a chance to be a kid and enjoy my childhood hanging out with my parents?
Though both parents work and tries their best to find time to accompany me and my sister, it just ain't enough of them to go around.
Besides working, my Dad has other stuff to take care of most of the time.
If it isnt his day job keeping him till wee hours in the morning with meetings,
it'll be the VSC Police job keeping him on patrol till as late as 5am in the morning.
I do still see my dad around though - in the morning.
He drives me to school fervently rain or shine and I'm thankful for that.
But how I wished that I don't only get to spend car rides with him.
Even though he tries to cut down on staying out late after work,
he's either home too late or home too tired.
For my Mom, she's a different person.
Putting her family first, she returns home right on time every night.
I used to be able to chit chat with my Mom and gossip like good friends lying on the bed at night.
However, work has recently been rather stressful and taxing for her and soon the talking became a thing of the past.
If I could make up a list, these would be the things I want to do with my family!
* ROLLS DOWN A REALLY LONG LIST! :X *
AHEM.
Number ONE.
I want to organise a day out to Tanjong Pinang or Bangkok to bring my parents, sister and also both sides' grandparents to do some shopping, sightseeing and RELAX. I believe EVERYONE deserves a break now and then. :D If we ever manage a trip to Bangkok, I would bring them to MBK mall, Chaktuchak flee market and even a river cruise on the Chao Prya River! It will be perfect to bond together while enjoying ourselves at relaxing Bangkok! :D
Number TWO.
I wish for just ONE entire day where my dad didnt have any calls or smses coming in, my sister and i would stop argueing, my grandparents would just enjoy themselves! Preferably a short one day visit to one of the places of interest in Singapore. Wouldnt be something wacky so I could bring both grandparents too. :D
Number THREE.
I want to just have a nice lunch with good food as a treat for my grandparents and my parents! I'm sort of like the mini good food directory so I wish I could bring them about to try so many different good food in one day! :D
Number FOUR.
I just want to spend alot of quality time with my family having fun and without any outsider's distractions. Quality time is the best thing I can ask for.
Actually, just number Four itself would do. All the other three couldn't match up with it anyways.
Since I heard Family Day Out is coming around,
hopefully, I can manage to drag everybody out for a day of fun!
Both my grandparents are really old so I would love to bring them to ride the Singapore Flyer someday since its a new attraction of Singapore.
Speaking of which, I had better start writing out a plan to get them all out on 30th May!
WAIT!
YOU too could join in Family Day Out!
