quote of the week.

It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues. - Abraham Lincoln
A not so famous quote from a long dead friend, Abraham Lincoln. In his quote, he talks about people who have no vices (meaning bad habits) have very few virtues (good points about themselves). You might be wondering WHY IN THE WORLD did Abraham Lincoln say that? Well, after much thought, I find that it made absolute and perfect sense.

Many a times, people who have no vices are those humans who are seemingly perfect. They don't drink, they always think before they act, they are good law abiding bible-reading God-fearing people. They are so uptight and perfect that they lead a relatively boring and mundane life. They are so perfect they do not have any bad points about themselves. However, they become so strict and selfish living anti-socially becoming people who have very few virtues too.

Despite in our everyday quest to become the most perfect person on earth,we should stop and take an occasional look back at ourselves. By being constantly obsessed with successful and promising future, did we lose ourselves and become like those " folks with no vices have very few virtues" too?
