Have been away for the past 3 days.
was helping to facilitate Marymount Camp 2008.
its my 3rd year facilitating for Marymount.
(:
I'm an Ex-Marymount girl myself!
hahaha.
(:
Hmm.
Camp was a hugeeeeeee sucess!
and I'm so ever glad.
because this time,
most of the LDM-ers are having O levels and there were only a few of us experienced ones.
Whatsmore, we were going to work with ppl from OLPS and some ex-Marymount campers who wanted to come back and help.
This year's team was FABULOUS!
we gel-ed so well with each other and many assumed we known each other for a long time.
however,
we've only ALL met on that day.
hahaha.
so it's all God's grace.
AMEN!
because the camp's theme is Safari,
we are all so called Tribesmen.
haha.
and split into four groups each with one animal name.
Mine was monkey,
mike's was lion,
dorothy's was rhino and clare's was elephant.
it was all very fun!
haha.
we had to come up with a cheer dance item.
my group is one of the noisiest and most hyped-up so we had no problem doing that.
I feel that i clicked very well with the girls because we can relate to one another.
the teachers, the work, the school stuff and also the family i guess.
Some of them although I could not relate very well,
but some I could very certainly understand how they feel.
As usual,
we had the funeral skit.
this time, the one playing dead was claremarie.
so she laid on the mattress and fell aslp (as usual with all that played dead)
while I cried uncontrollably by the side.
I wasn't acting.
I really did cry.
I wasn't actually very prepared.
because I was having a headache that day and a terrible migrain due to lack of sleep the previous night.
however, when I saw Ben long walked into the main porch,
I already felt like crying.
Ben is like a crying pill.
hahaha.
but he is also a very good friend to have.
(:
I am very very glad that the girls were much more open this time.
and that they were all very ready to recieve God and experience God's love in this camp.
The parents also were quite receptive and I'm just glad that the girls had a blast!
(:
I took some pictures that I will most probably post up next time.
I'm going off for dinner now.
Camp was tiring,
but it was very worth it.
(:
